I have been trying to use anise in my cooking for a little over 2 years now. I can’t get over the amazing flavor and aroma that comes from using it. I’ve even tried to incorporate it into my daily hair care routine. It seems to be the perfect spice to add a bit of levity to my life.
I think we all have to face the reality that we are, in fact, in control of the things we want and the things we don’t want in our lives. We can control our thoughts and actions and we can choose how we want to live our lives. We can choose what to wear, how we look, and how we behave, but ultimately we’re just one person with the power to act or react however we see fit.
We all have the power to choose how we think and how we act. We don’t have to be perfect, just good. Self-awareness is the ability to recognize when we are not in control, and when the power to control is slipping away.
I think one of the most interesting, and most important things to discuss, is the difference between self-awareness and self-pity. In fact, many of the things that we just have a hard time wrapping our heads around, it is because we think we are the root of the problem. Self-awareness is allowing ourselves to be aware of the things we are doing.
